The Jega Journal

Editorial Policy

The Jega Journal publishes practical career, recruitment and workplace guidance for Nigerian job seekers and employers. This policy explains how we protect accuracy, usefulness and reader trust.

Who creates our articles

Articles are prepared by the Jega Editorial Team and reviewed by members of the Jega Recruitment Team. Our work draws on employer vacancy information, common questions from candidates and practical recruitment experience.

How we select topics

We prioritise questions that help candidates apply responsibly, recognise genuine opportunities, prepare stronger applications and understand workplace expectations. Employer articles focus on fair hiring, staff management and reliable recruitment practices.

Accuracy and evidence

We distinguish general guidance from vacancy-specific requirements. Salaries, schedules, qualifications and benefits are checked against the information supplied for the relevant vacancy. Where an article relies on an external rule, statistic or publication, we aim to identify and link the source.

Independence and transparency

Job applications through Jega are free for candidates. Optional paid services, including professional CV support, are clearly identified and are not a condition for applying for a vacancy.

Updates and corrections

Articles may be updated when vacancy information, guidance or supporting evidence changes. Material corrections are handled under our Corrections Policy.

Artificial intelligence

Digital tools may assist with drafting, formatting or quality checks. A responsible member of the Jega team reviews the final material for accuracy, clarity, relevance and alignment with our recruitment experience before publication.
