Retention and deletion

Data Retention Policy

Jega keeps recruitment records only for as long as they are useful, lawful and necessary for recruitment, placement, dispute handling, reporting and fraud prevention.

Candidate applications

Job applications and CVs should be reviewed after 12 months. Records may be deleted earlier on verified request or retained longer if the candidate remains active in a process, asks to stay in the talent pool or has been placed.

Talent pool profiles

Talent pool records should be reviewed every 12 months. Inactive, unreachable or duplicate profiles should be archived or deleted.

Employer requests

Employer enquiries should be kept while the hiring request is active and for up to 24 months after closure for service history, dispute prevention and business reporting.

Audit logs

Security and admin audit logs are retained to investigate misuse, unauthorised access, fraud or accidental changes. Logs should not be edited by ordinary staff.

Deletion request process

Requests must be verified through the email or phone number used for the original submission. Deletion should remove the main record and attached CV where no lawful retention reason remains.
